Does the Anonymous Society Really Exist?
Does the Anonymous Society really exist? Is it real, or just a myth? And if so, why is it that people like my late Uncle Joe would travel for days to obtain information about it?
That's a good question. And I think the answer can be found by asking what I believe to be the three most important characteristics of the Anonymous Society. And, when I say three things, I don't mean some cool rules.
First, I believe the Anonymous Society is a tightly knit group of like-minded individuals who have developed their own methods of communication and are known as "Anonymous." Second, the Anonymous Society is a loosely knit group of individuals who are referred to as "Anons" for short. Lastly, the Anonymous Society is not an organization. In other words, the Anonymous Society is not a group of experts who prepare a policy or make policy recommendations. They aren't politicians.
Three things are what makes the Anonymous Society what it is. The first thing is that the members of the Anonymous Society are known as "Anons." The second thing is that the Anonymous Society is a loosely knit group of like-minded individuals who have developed their own methods of communication and are known as "Anons." The third thing is that the Anonymous Society is not an organization. In other words, the Anonymous Society is not a group of experts who prepare a policy or make policy recommendations.
Four things are what makes the Anonymous Society what it is. The first four things are the Anonymous Society's power to communicate with each other and the rest of the world. The second thing is the Anonymous Society's power to destroy any number of government entities and organizations. The third thing is the Anonymous Society's power to protect individual citizens from those who wish to do them harm. And the fourth thing is the Anonymous Society'spower to take action on its own behalf or on behalf of others.
Now, let's discuss the first thing. When I say "Communication," I'm referring to the Anonymous Society's ability to communicate with one another. Some call it their "punditry," but the reality is that the Anonymous Society is the greatest communicator of our time. In fact, the most successful communicators and the most successful thinkers are often the most closed up. This means that their minds are closed, and their ability to think about anything at all comes at a price, but that cost is worth it because they can be more productive.
Third, when we talk about the destruction of governments and organizations, we're talking about the Anonymous Society's power to destroy any number of government entities and organizations. Look, I don't mean the old standby. I mean more sinister situations, like a nation-state going to war with another nation-state. Think about it. Imagine if the Anonymous Society was the United States' enemies from 1980.
Fourth, the Anonymous Society's power to protect individuals from the state. Who says protecting people is reserved for the state? We protect individuals by educating and empowering ourselves. By practicing self-protection. By knowing how to survive when life gets tough.
