All About The Driving Theory Test

Many candidates want to know if they do not pass their theory drivers' examination the first time they take it. Some candidates also want to get a second or third chance and want to be able to pass the theory tests again. The driving license theory exam is administered by the Department of Motor Vehicles to ensure that all candidates have learned all that they are required to learn. Each theory exam has several sections. The first section is divided by how long it took for the candidate to complete their theoretical training. If a candidate has not been driving for a certain amount of time then they will have to take this section when they first apply.

Once the Department of Motor Vehicles has received the driving license evidence from the candidate then the second part of the theory exam can be administered. This part is not as long as the first but it still lasts about a week. In this section the candidate shall answer questionnaires regarding their driving history. The length of this part is based on how long it took for the driver candidate to receive their driving license. The candidate shall also have to present original documents that support the answers that they give.

If the driving candidate does not pass this part of the test then they will have to wait until they have another four hours to take the driving theory exam. After this point in time the license will be suspended until the candidate takes the driving knowledge test again. Candidates who receive their licenses after the suspension period are allowed to take the driving skills test again. This is done at the same place where the theory class was taken. If the candidate fails this test then they must wait another four months before they can take the theory exam. The last part of the theory test is a driving simulation test. This is a type of test that will let the candidates to drive in different situations that they may find driving dangerous.
